Cover Supervisor

On a permanent contract to start as soon as possible.

Based at The Cedars Academy in Birstall, Leicestershire and part of the Lionheart Academies Trust
32.5 hours per week (39 weeks per year)
Grade 7 pay point 16 to 19 fte £18,499 to £20,139 (actual salary £13,841 to £15,406 pa)

Job Description and Person Specification.

The Cedars Academy is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our well established cover supervisor team.

You will need a passion for engaging young people with their education so that no learning time is lost. You will need to have strong communication skills and an ability to work alongside a wide range of colleagues at our school. At The Cedars Academy not only will you be integrated into the cover supervisor team you will also have opportunities to develop and run specific projects within the school, such as mentoring and supporting our pupils in achieving their potential. If you are considering a career in teaching this role would also provide invaluable experience.

Learning Support Assistant

Grade 5 pay point 9 to 11 fte £15, 807 to £16,492 (actual salary £10,916 to £11,645 pa)

Midday Supervisor

Hours 1 per day – term time only
Grade 4 £13,903 – £14,914 (£7.20 – £7.52 per hour)

Middday Supervisor Job Description & Person Specification

A midday supervisor is required as soon as possible to assist in ensuring the effective management and support of pupils during the lunchtime periods. You will provide effective supervision of pupils during the lunchtime period and during the periods before and after and ensure that the dining areas are kept tidy and are not a safety hazard. You will also be required to supervise all areas, both inside and outside the Academy building and ensure that pupils return to classes on a timely basis at the end of the lunchtime period.
