Pupil Premium Mentor Person Specification

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic graduate who wants to make a difference to disadvantaged young people. The ‘right’ person will support, mentor, challenge and track pupil premium students to achieve high standards of attainment across a wide range of subjects. The post holder is likely to spend a large proportion of their time supporting pupils to boost their literacy and/or numeracy skills. You will be required to support Pupil Premium students to learn in their lessons and remove any barriers to learning. You may also be required to plan, prepare and deliver learning activities for individual pupils and small groups under an agreed system of supervision. We want a creative thinker, who will have their own ideas about how we can best support pupils to achieve at The Cedars Academy. This would be an ideal opportunity for a graduate who is interested in beginning a career in teaching/education.

Midday Supervisor

Hours 1 per day – term time only
Grade 4 £13,903 – £14,914 (£7.20 – £7.52 per hour)

Middday Supervisor Job Description & Person Specification

A midday supervisor is required as soon as possible to assist in ensuring the effective management and support of pupils during the lunchtime periods. You will provide effective supervision of pupils during the lunchtime period and during the periods before and after and ensure that the dining areas are kept tidy and are not a safety hazard. You will also be required to supervise all areas, both inside and outside the Academy building and ensure that pupils return to classes on a timely basis at the end of the lunchtime period.
