Quantum Theatre Brings Charles Dickens' 'A Christmas Carol' to Life at The Cedars Academy

The Cedars Academy had the pleasure of hosting a spectacular visit by Quantum Theatre, who delivered an amazing rendition of Charles Dickens’ 'A Christmas Carol,' on Friday, November 3rd, 2023. 

In a remarkable performance, a talented cast of three actors skillfully brought to life the iconic characters and themes that populate Dickens' celebrated work. 

From Ebenezer Scrooge to the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future, the audience was treated to a dynamic display of theatrical prowess. In keeping with the text and its Christmas spirit, we were treated to a lot of songs woven into the performance – as you might expect from a story with ‘Carol’ in the title! 

Our students were visibly captivated by the production, relishing the opportunity to experience the magic of live theatre within the familiar theatre in the PTC. The exceptional behavior and enthusiasm displayed by our students did not go unnoticed. Quantum Theatre commended our young audience for their excellent conduct and active engagement throughout the performance. 

The team at The Cedars Academy is delighted to have been able to offer this extraordinary event to our Key Stage 4 students and hope this helps them in consolidating their study of the novella at GCSE.
